Easter preperations

Some of our favorite Easter things:

Emilee loves to make the Easter story cookies. You make these the night before and there is a lesson in every step, then you put them in the oven until morning, when you get up they are hollow in the middle, which represents the empty tomb and Jesus' ressurection!

Coloring eggs, we will be doing this tonight after Briana gets home from work.

Buy some chocolate bunnies.

New dresses- which is really what this post is about. Miss B at church asked me if I wanted to borrow Brooklyns dress from last year for Isabelle. Well, we were in IL. last year, so I didn't know what it looked like. It is BEAUTIFUL! When she brought it to me, Miss C asked if I thought Isabelle would wear it. I laughed and said " she is only a year old, she doesn't get to decide what she will wear". I decided this morning to try it on her (Sat. the day before Easter). She immediately started to throw a fit and tried to pull it off. So,after we took several pictures I called Ted who was in town and asked him to go find Isabelle a new dress. Tomorrow I will post pictures of all the kids in their Easter attire. So you won't think the boys were left out, Mason got a new shirt and tie and I found Andrews outfit at a consignment sale with the tags still attached.

Chickenea?

I have been wanting to post some new pictures, but have had computer problems. Our computer crashed and we lost everything, well, almost everything. Thankfully we keep our pictures on an external hard drive and they are all fine.

Andrew is at such a fun age, he comes up with things all the time and we have no idea what he is talking about. Like Mr. Sabers from an earlier post. well, we found out that it is Mr. Shivers on the mountain off of a cartoon he watches. Also, he calls his Grandpa "poppy", where did he get it, we don't know. None of us use that name. So, that brings me to the title of this post, chickenea. We love to make home made enchilada's and Andrew has just started to eat them with us. He used to get chicken nuggets, those are a staple around here for him. I was getting ready to serve them one night and he asked where his chickenea was, so that's what they are called now, here at least. If you go to a resteraunt and ask for one they might think you are crazy! Should we correct him? I don't think so, he will catch on soon enough.
