Asleep on the job!

Andrew fell asleep next to me on the couch one evening. All of a sudden he started twitching his foot, I knew what that meant. So, I quickly woke him up and sent him to the bathroom. Several minutes later Mason asked where Andrew was and this is how we found him.

Happy Birthday Andrew

Look whose turning 4!
For weeks Andrew would ask if it was his birthday, finally the day arrived. We have been trying to watch our budget, as everyone is , and not eat out. But, Ted had a gift certificate from a vendor at work so we took everyone out to eat for Andrew's birthday. (Everyone except Briana who had to work). We went to Calhoun's on the River, they serve the kids meals in these old timey cars, which Andrew loved. Then we headed home and had cake and ice cream when Briana got home. Andrew helped with the sprinkles on the cake.

Gift from Mom & Dad that he picked out himself. I don't know what I was thinking, I took him to Wal-Mart and let him pick out his gift. Maybe not such a good idea at this age, he wanted everything. Then I let him pick out his cake for his party we were going to have with his friends. That was a big decision also. After debating between Scooby Doo and Ben Ten, he finally settled on Ben Ten.
On Tuesday we had a little party at the park with a few friends. The sprinkler below was a gift from his friend Austin. He couldn't wait to get home and play in it. As you can see Emilee didn't mind playing in it either.

Ella and Andrew, she goes to our homeschool co-op and he talks about her all the time.

Andrew opening the sprinkler. For a first birthday party, at the park with 4 year olds it went pretty well. I'm just glad they only come once a year!

Little Climber

After this day we decided it was time to put away the walker. The little stinker still won't take off and walk on her own, but she will climb everywhere. She doesn't seem to have any fear while climbing. She was sitting next to me on the couch one day and she climbed all the way up and had her knees on the back of it looking out the window.

Enjoying her accomplishment!

Easter pictures

I am finally getting some Easter pictures posted. We got the eggs colored, around midnight, because I kept putting it off. Who needs 8 hours of sleep? I didn't let Isabelle get around the dye, what a mess that would have been. But she did get to hold an egg and she didn't want to let go of it.

Andrew showing off one of his eggs, who knows clown collage may be in is future. Hmm what could Mason be writing on that egg, could it start with a J? Notice the adorable apron, he didn't want to get his shirt messy. This picture just yells blackmail.
Emilee with one of her creations.

Briana had to work, so Ted was the camera man. He didn't take very many pictures, we may have to stage another egg hunt. Well, it will make for easy scrapbooking. Our poor yard is getting sparse on grass, we may have to haul some dirt in and plant some grass soon. I can think of so many things I would rather buy than dirt!

Dedication Sunday May 3, 2009

Not even pouring down rain could put a damper on this spectacular day. After 7 years of prayer, faith, anticipation, set backs (plumbing issues) we had our first service in our new church building. What a glorious day!
Foyer (Mr. Price in the tan jacket on the left, more about him at the bottom.

Mr. Price and another man made all the wood work around the baptistry, the tables up front and the panels along the front. Briana has more pictures on her camera, I will post some later.
