catcher

Andrew was the catcher for his ball game tonight. he was so cute. The helmet that they used was to big and kept sliding around, at one point he ran over to the fence and yelled "it isn't going very well", he is so funny. They won the game and the coach took them out for ice cream. Way to go Diamond Jaxx!

CHIMES spring program night

We had a great end of the year program last night. All the kids did a wonderful job. We had a skit from the Drama class, three perform scottish dances, a guitar solo, piana solo, pre-k and K-2 gr. singing. Then we had a lot of class projects on display. Also, we recognized the Kindergarten graduates. It was a great end to the school year. Andrew had told me that he would sing with his class but he wouldn't do the motions. Ok, that was fine. But he dicides to get up there and do the zipping motion of his lips and refuse to sing. So all of his pictures he is standing there with this crazy smile on his face and not doing anything. But, it actually helped me since I was doing all the announcing and was as nervouse as could be, you know public speaking isn't my thing. After they finished their song I got up and made some comment about him zipping his lips and everyone was laughing, so it broke the tension for me. All in all it went well, I don't think I will ever get used to speaking in front of a group. ugh!

Rachel, one of our Kindergarten graduates, we had seven this year. The mom's or dad's come up and give them their diploma.

Bradyn receiving her diploma, her mom said she didn't know if she would make it through without crying, but I think she did!

Performing the "Sailors Hornpipe"

"Scottish Lilt"

"Sword Dance"
K-2 singing "DO RE MI"
Mason and Emilee weren't in the program this year, but they both had things on display and I forgot to take pictures. I will take some here and post them.

Rainbow cupcakes

I made these rainbow cupcakes for my art class on the last day of CHIMES. I quized them on the things we have learned over the year. Primary, secondary colors. What colors do you mix to get secondary colors, artist we have covered this year, etc... Of course I would have given them one anyway.
The one here without icing was after I made all the rest and I just dumped the colors in. For theirs I layered the colors according to the rainbow and they all have red on the top.

Yummy, there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!

Retakes, Dollywood

Do you know how hard it is to take pictures of a moving ride? As you can see I didn't do a very good job.

I actually love this one, not what I was aiming for but it's a good picture of the duck.

There they go!

There they go again!!

There they go again!!!! Oh well, it's a good thing we took some before the ride began.

Dollywood

We haven't been to Dollywood for 2 years. So this was Isabelle's first time there and Andrew was only 2 the last time we went. They both had a great time. Isabelle enjoyed the rides but didn't enjoy waiting on the others to ride. We learned that Andrew likes fast, high, and spinning rides. Although, he didn't like the kiddie roller coaster. here are a lot of pictures from the day.

Isabelle didn't like this ride, but I don't either. I had gone on it with Emilee a few years back, it goes to high for me.

Briana discovered she didn't like it either and Andrew kept pushing the button to make it go up.

Ted and Andrew on the Veggie Tale roller coaster, which Andrew didn't like.

Don't they look like they are having fun?

Andrew loved this bumblebee ride. Isabelle liked it also, but she didn't like the elephants.

Our first ride, I thought she might be scared but she hoped in and was ready to go.

Leaning Tower of Pasta?

While I was fixing supper one night, Isabelle took all the boxes of pasta out of the cabinet and stacked them up. It kept her busy and she enjoyed knocking them over. Of course now I will need to find a recipe for crushed noodles.

Yes, I know that's a lot of pasta, but when I find it B1G1 and I have coupons I stock up. A couple of these I only paid .25 for.

Cupcakes

Emilee's Keepers of the Faith group learned how to decorate cupcakes today. I think she did a good job. Next time they will each decorate a shape cake and she has to make her own icing. They are on their way to earning their cake decorating pin.

Game one, T-Ball

Andrew wanted to play t-ball last year but his birthday was a month to late. So when I asked him if he wanted to play this year, he was ready. So he thought, he is playing like any typical 4 yr. old. You know digging in the dirt, watching everything but the ball. Tuesday was his first game, he keep asking one of the helpers if it was his turn," hey, hey, is it my turn yet?" Almost, watch the ball, "hey, hey, is it my turn yet?" Over and over again., all of this while they are on the field. Then in the middle of the game, he yelled out to us that when he gets older and gets a car he is going to name it JoJo! Wow, what you can think of during the middle of a game. Actually he didn't do to bad, he did move the dirt around with his shoes, but some of the kids were rolling in it. He has his next game Sat. afternoon.

Well he had gotten out, but keep running to the base, I don't think he even understood that he was out. That little one in the front of the picture was fast, she got more kids out.

After the game

Isabelle taking it easy during the game.

Easter

Easter was like every other year at our house. I was up until 1 making dessert for Easter dinner because I simple forgot to make it! We haven't colored eggs yet, I told Andrew we would today (Monday), Coloring eggs isn't one of my favorite things to do, but of course the kids love to do it. After church, we came home for lunch then the kids received their baskets and went outside for an egg hunt. Briana had to work until 4, that's why she's not in the photo this year. For the night service our church had an Easter program this year.

When they first came out for the egg hunt, Isabelle decided to dump all of her grass out of her basket. Where did pink grass come from anyway?

He is risen! Happy Easter!
