Andrew's 5th Birthday

Wow, It's hard to believe Andrew is 5 already! He is growing up so fast. He keeps things exciting around here. After going to a birthday party at the jumping shack he decided that was what he wanted for his birthday. Instead of reserving a party I convinced him to have his party at Pizza Hut and then we would just walk into the Wee Bounce, much cheaper. He was ok with that as long as he got to bounce. After we had pizza & cake we went to the Wee Bounce and they had a sign up "No Walk -ins, they were having a private party. I went up and checked and they were going to be opening in about 15 min. so we just blew bubbles outside until they let us in. They had a great time bouncing and were all over the place. Ted had taken Isabelle home because we were afraid she would get trampled but it ended up we were the only ones in there.

Feet first Andrew! I don't know how many times I had to tell him that!

Field day

CHIMES' field day was Tuesday and the kids had a lot of fun. We had great weather, in the past several years it has rained so much that it has been real muddy. Andrew ended up soaking wet when we left because the kids decided to play in the water fountain, I had brought him extra clothes but didn't even think about spare shoes. We had to go buy some since we were headed to the grocery store. Some how I ended up with no pictures of Emilee.

This is the most Mason did all day!

Andrew loved the tire swing.

Isabelle trying to decide if she wants to throw the balls or just hold onto them.

Tossing the balls into the buckets.

cake decorating

For Keepers of the Faith today they all practiced decorating their cake with the drop star method. I think Emilee did pretty good for the first time she has ever done a cake. I can say that this is a messy job, mixing up all the icing colors. She and all the girls did a great job. As for the taste test that will be after dinner tonight. Although she didn't bake the cake, the leader baked all of them.

This cake pan was actually a carousel, but she decided to just make it a horse without the pole.

This is just a picture of Belle before church Sunday night, I thought she looked adorable : )

catcher

Andrew was the catcher for his ball game tonight. he was so cute. The helmet that they used was to big and kept sliding around, at one point he ran over to the fence and yelled "it isn't going very well", he is so funny. They won the game and the coach took them out for ice cream. Way to go Diamond Jaxx!

CHIMES spring program night

We had a great end of the year program last night. All the kids did a wonderful job. We had a skit from the Drama class, three perform scottish dances, a guitar solo, piana solo, pre-k and K-2 gr. singing. Then we had a lot of class projects on display. Also, we recognized the Kindergarten graduates. It was a great end to the school year. Andrew had told me that he would sing with his class but he wouldn't do the motions. Ok, that was fine. But he dicides to get up there and do the zipping motion of his lips and refuse to sing. So all of his pictures he is standing there with this crazy smile on his face and not doing anything. But, it actually helped me since I was doing all the announcing and was as nervouse as could be, you know public speaking isn't my thing. After they finished their song I got up and made some comment about him zipping his lips and everyone was laughing, so it broke the tension for me. All in all it went well, I don't think I will ever get used to speaking in front of a group. ugh!

Rachel, one of our Kindergarten graduates, we had seven this year. The mom's or dad's come up and give them their diploma.

Bradyn receiving her diploma, her mom said she didn't know if she would make it through without crying, but I think she did!

Performing the "Sailors Hornpipe"

"Scottish Lilt"

"Sword Dance"
K-2 singing "DO RE MI"
Mason and Emilee weren't in the program this year, but they both had things on display and I forgot to take pictures. I will take some here and post them.

Rainbow cupcakes

I made these rainbow cupcakes for my art class on the last day of CHIMES. I quized them on the things we have learned over the year. Primary, secondary colors. What colors do you mix to get secondary colors, artist we have covered this year, etc... Of course I would have given them one anyway.
The one here without icing was after I made all the rest and I just dumped the colors in. For theirs I layered the colors according to the rainbow and they all have red on the top.

Yummy, there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!

Retakes, Dollywood

Do you know how hard it is to take pictures of a moving ride? As you can see I didn't do a very good job.

I actually love this one, not what I was aiming for but it's a good picture of the duck.

There they go!

There they go again!!

There they go again!!!! Oh well, it's a good thing we took some before the ride began.
